ILLUSTRATION
Black pen, water and watercolour paint
Here are a few of the illustrations I have completed, they were all drawn in my sketchpad when exploring different places. I often carry a small water bottle, brushes, a sketchbook and some watercolours with me. I enjoy sketching when on my travels because the outcomes always tend to be different, which makes them more interesting. Drawing isn't something I tend to gravitate to, it isn't my strongest art form. However, I enjoy experimenting with pen and water and am always impressed with the outcomes. The water adds depth to the drawings, it transforms the picture from a line drawing to a more detailed drawing; in my opinion. I prefer the outcome of the pieces without the watercolour paint, however these were completed when I wasn't as familiar with using watercolour paint. I am more confident using watercolour paint now than I was when these drawings were completed.

I hope that by continuing to draw sketches in this way, it will help to develop my skills. I enjoy the process, it's very therapeutic.
