NURSERY SETTING

Here is a range of creative art workshop outcomes that is currently taking place at a nursery; Messy Monsters. Due to the age of the participants, the outcomes are not always what the session aims set out to achieve. The participants see things differently, they have a great imagination and when creating the work; the image they see their outcome to be is what have been asked of them. I know this because often when i ask them about their outcomes, their replies are tied to what the aims of the session are. Many of these sessions are facilitated through the medium of paint, children at a young age enjoy being 'messy' and free when creating art, this was a great opportunity for me to bring my artistic identity to the setting and allow the participants to work in the same medium as I enjoy. All workshops were designed to support the participants progression in line with the foundation phase framework of creative development, a framework that is used within the setting to ensure the participants are progressing to the stage they are aiming for. This framework also gives an indication of the participants strengths/weaknesses in order to be able to support them in their progression and development to reach their goals. These workshops are currently still ongoing and will be updated week by week.
